Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you arrive - and after you leave wanting more.

What should I do before I come?

Some venues sell out quickly. Make sure you're registered with the venue to insure your space.

What should I bring to a sound meditation?

Your greatest take away results from your greatest comfort. If you plan to lay on the floor bring a thick yoga mat and/or comforter, knee bolster, pillow, eye cover and blanket. If being on the floor isn't an option, you can bring a comfortable lawn chair or bean bag style chair.

Do I need experience with meditation?

No experience is necessary. All you need is the intention to let go, relax and let your mind wander where it wants to go.

What actually happens during a sound meditation?

We'll start with a brief breath awareness exercise to help relax you into the space. When the room quiets we'll begin. I'll play a variety of percussion sounds, crystal singing bowls and gongs and when we're finished we'll do some grounding exercises.

Is sound meditation safe for everyone?

For the most part this is a very safe experience. Feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions regarding medical or other issues.

What is the difference between a gong bath and a crystal bowl meditation?

A crystal bowl meditation is typically short, includes percussion and lasts about 20 minutes. A gong meditation includes percussion sounds, crystal bowls and gongs and can last up to an hour.
